Introducing Nysa: a world worth waking

Our first game begins beneath the ice: a quiet planetary engineering expedition for iOS and Android.

By Mass Curve Games

Our first game starts with a quiet problem: an ocean is there, but it is locked beneath ice. You have a handful of planetary engineering tools and a question. What would it take to make this world live?

That is the starting point of Nysa, a game we are developing for iOS and Android. You place tools on a planet, advance time, and watch the consequences unfold across its surface.

A planet you can read

We want the changing world to be part of the explanation. Ice retreats. Water opens up. Pioneer life finds a foothold. A place that looked unpromising can become the most interesting patch on the globe.

The numbers matter, but they are not the whole story. A cold global average can hide a warmer basin. A colony that struggles in one location might thrive somewhere else. Looking closely is part of playing.

Five tools, many questions

The current build uses mirrors, vents, spores, shades, and scrubbers. Their placement and output give you ways to change local conditions and the wider planet. The intention is to make a small set of tools worth understanding.

What happens if you warm a basin before seeding it? What changes when life begins to spread? When does an intervention that helped at the beginning need to be eased back?

Your pace, your experiment

Time moves when you choose. You can pause to inspect the world, advance years, and adjust what you have placed. We want the interesting part to be your next decision and what you learn from it.

Where we are now

Nysa is in development, and there is no release date yet. Our plan is a complete free expedition followed by an optional one-time campaign unlock. The campaign contents and price are still being worked out.

We will use this journal to share progress, explain design choices, and show what changes as the game takes shape. Welcome to Mass Curve Games. There is a world to wake.
